Tax Estimates

Please be advised that the tax estimate provided with the program is an estimate only. It is the responsibility of the tax agents to satisfy themselves that the tax estimate is accurate before giving it to the taxpayer. If you consider that any item in the tax estimate is incorrect, then you can change it to the figure you have calculated. This can be done from the Tax Outline window by Editing the Tax Estimate.

Please be aware that the tax estimate is not lodged with the ATO.

Due to the complex nature of the taxation legislation we have based our calculations on our interpretation of them. Should you receive an assessment, which indicates that we may not have calculated the estimate correctly, we would appreciate it if you could forward us a copy of the assessment from the Australian Taxation Office, and the complete worksheet copy of the return including cover and estimate.

We also require a copy of the "Taxation Calculation" from the ATO, which can only be requested by the tax payer or their tax agent. This will allow us to understand how the tax office is interpreting the legislation and we can then make any adjustments to our calculations should they be necessary. We undertake to treat any such information received with the strictest confidence.

You can further protect your client confidentiality by removing names and Tax File Numbers before forwarding the information to us.
