Batch revaluation of listed assets using ASX and APIR prices
SuperFund has most of the listed investment prices stored as at 30 June 2012. You can use the program to tag your listed investments and revalue them as at 30 June 2012 in one batch.
- To revalue the assets, from the Assets menu, point to Revaluation and click Financial Investments.
-
In the "Revaluation - Financial Assets" window, tag the listed investments you want to update.
-
Once the items have been tagged, click
Revalue, and you will then be prompted to revalue them as at 30 June 2012.
-
These values are already stored by the program, and when you click
OK in the "Revaluation" window, they will update automatically. If you had the HandiLedger update field ticked, it will also create your change in market value entries as well.
-
SuperFund, allows you to update the values, at any date you want using the revaluation facility above, however, it will require you to either update the prices manually or import them from other sources.
-
To manually update the prices from the Tools menu click ASX Codes, highlight the code, click Prices and New.
-
To import prices from the
Tools menu click
Import ASX Closing Values, follow the prompts and the updated value should then reflect in the ASX Codes window, when you click
View.

Notes:
- Batch revaluation can only be used if the prices are stored for the exact date you wish to revalue at.
- Prices can be imported in the form of Metastock, EZYChart and Stock Easy files, these are all text files formated in a way that the program can read them in.
