Entering historical data and current year data

"Historical" data is entered in the SuperFund program by clicking on Fund and then Fund Set Up. In the "Fund Open Setup" window select the item you want to add data for.

The "Current" year data is entered through the other menu options, Member,  Assets and Transactions.

The current year data windows have date validation checks to ensure only data for the current year is entered, where as the "Fund Opening Setup" window will allow dates back to the date the fund was established.

The Fund Set up is a function that allows you to set up opening balances for an existing SuperFund ,so that transactions can be entered for that year. Similar to a Ledger set of accounts, that if you wanted to enter transactions for the year, as you have existing balance sheet accounts you would enter opening balances as at the first day of the year so that these opening balances plus transactions during the course of the year give you your closing balances. Example,If you want to enter data for the 2012 financial year, the Fund Set up will allow you to enter the opening balances as at 30 June 2011.
